BYFORD RAIL EXTENSION

TKD delivered critical precast works, ensuring quality control, efficient team management, and strict adherence to safety and timelines. The scope of works encompassed the following:

  • Managed the pouring of 5,200m³ of concrete and installation of 2,900 tonnes of reinforcement steel.

  • Operated on a tight schedule with 5 pouring days per week (no weekend work).

  • Coordinated daily activities with a workforce of 80 people onsite, ensuring efficient execution.

  • Executed the casting, stripping, forming, and pouring of 13 beds daily, maintaining consistent productivity.

  • Deployed two 50-tonne gantry cranes for moving reinforcement steel, transporting cast planks to the wash bay, and facilitating load-outs to trucks

ROY HILL ROM CRUSHER

Project Summary

TThe scope of works included the following key components:

  • Earthworks: Preparation of foundations, including loading, hauling, placement, and compaction of materials.

  • Concrete Works: Supply and installation of reinforced concrete structures for Conveyor CVR523, Crushing Station 5, transformers, switchrooms, and drive-in sumps.

  • Earthing: Installation and testing of earth grids, electrodes, and bonding systems to ensure proper grounding.

  • Miscellaneous Works: Installation of light pole footings, grouting of critical elements, construction of concrete stair pads, and installation of bollards.

This detailed execution plan was essential to delivering a robust and durable infrastructure aligned with project specifications.

ROY HILL FINES STACKER EXTENSION

Project Summary

  • Project Length: 2 Months

  • Contract Value: $300,000

  • Contract Type: Schedule of Rates

The project scope encompassed a range of critical activities, including:

  • Extending the stacker runways by 22 meters.

  • Constructing foundations (300m3) for buffer stops.

  • Fabricating and installing 5T steel buffer stops.

  • Removing a redundant bulk-in loading chute.

  • Extending tray supports to accommodate machine water hosing and electrical cabling.

  • Modifying existing services, including the installation of 100l/m new stockpile water cannon dia. 250mm HDPE.

  • Executing earthworks to excavate an additional 30 meters of fines stockpile canyon, with the base of the excavation lined with 500mm of coarse ore to facilitate drainage.

All works were completed in time for a planned total mine shut down with live connections and commissioning assistance provided by TKD during the shutdown.

These works were undertaken to enhance operational efficiency and support the project's overall objectives.

CHICHESTER TRANSMISSION LINE

Project Summary

  • Contract Type: Re-measurable

Transmission Line Extension: Construction of 60 kilometers (37 miles) of 220-kilovolt power transmission line.

  • Additional Power Lines: Installation of 3 kilometers (2 miles) of 33-kilovolt and 11-kilovolt lines to connect existing power stations to the network.

  • Solar Farm: Development of a 60-megawatt solar farm comprising two 30-megawatt single-axle solar arrays.

  • Substations: Construction of two substations to support power distribution.

  • Control Systems: Implementation of advanced control systems for seamless operation and integration of the infrastructure.

TKD successfully completed the construction of 136 lattice towers and 9 monopoles along the transmission line. Following this, TKD transitioned to work on the switchyard, where the team contributed to detailed earthworks and the formwork, reinforcement, and pouring of 1,100m³ of concrete.

ROY HILL ULTRAFINE IRON ONE

Project Summary

  • Project Length: 7 Months

  • Contract Value: $800,000

  • Contract Type: Schedule of Rates

TKD was contracted by Westforce Construction to execute expansion works on the existing WHIMS plant. The scope of works encompassed the following:

  • Concrete Works: Placement of 3,000 m³ of concrete.

  • Bulk Earthworks: Foundation preparation, installation of culverts, and construction of access roads, totaling 12,000 m³ of earthworks.

  • Service Works: Removal of six light poles, including associated underground cabling. Installation of a firewater pipeline, hydrants, valves, and blind flanges.

  • External Works: Various external finishes, bollards, signs etc.

  • Drainage Works: Implementation of drainage systems.

  • Hydraulic Works: Hydraulic system-related activities.

This comprehensive scope reflects TKD’s commitment to delivering high-quality infrastructure solutions aligned with Roy Hill Iron Ore’s operational requirements.

FITZROY CROSSING

Project Summary
